This EP combines my favorite elements of trap, west-coast instrumentals, and experimental bass. While that may not be what ONHELL was going for he achieved a sound that's very personal to me.
Favorite track: Shoshin.
United States West Coast beatsmith ONHELL lands on Terrorhythm offering up his "Noself" E.P. as an introduction to his sound across five tracks varying in style, depth and tempo.
Having solidified his place among the Northern Californian party circuit, Angel Rubio-Hale AKA ONHELL is a producer who revels in avoiding any tags or labels for his sound. The opening track "Noself" invites listeners into the intricate workings of his brain, transforming in energy throughout it's duration and setting the E.P. up for greatness from the start.
Other highlights include the almost bi-polar "Afterlife" which flips between hard edged industrialism and ethereal ambient tones seamlessly throughout the track.
With heavy rotation on Plastician's Rinse FM show heightening anticipation for the E.P. we're expecting to see and hear a lot more from ONHELL in 2017.
